Always interested in how fans who's club have re-located feel about such a move and how visitors feel about their away day. I've not been to the New Meadow yet but must have made about a dozen visits to the old place.
Riversidelad-which would you prefer out of the two? The Gay Meadow was like Fellows Park -restricted for space to expand and hardly any income from commercial activities. We really miss the old ground even though it was falling to bits. Bescot is soul-less by comparision.
If anyone from here has visited both of Shrewsbury's grounds what do they think?

Ive been to both on numerous occasions. Loved the old meadow for the character and atmosphere and being able to stand on the terraces and cheer on my team. but i have to say the new medow is a very nice place to watch a game of football, excellent views and atmosphere is still there which you dont find often at new all seater grounds and a cracking result in a certain play off semi final (sorry riversidelad). The pies tho are terrible lol

Never been to either.
Wanted to go to Gay Meadow but never got the chance. Was going to go in our promotion winning season, was on a tuesday night(?) but my dad couldnt afford it.
Hoping to go to New Meadow when Shrews finally come back up so we can have a proper rivalry again.

Not been to either also. Don't like the look of the New Meadow though, very bland and really open.

Prefet the Gya Meadow the atmosphere could be taunting at times especially on the riverside. Hate all seaters no atmosphere lego blocks.

Not been to the new ground, but the old one was brilliant.
I have been to both Stoke grounds. Victoria ground was a very intimidating place to go.

Yeah The Vic was something else. Enjoyed the visit to the Britania Stadium better.... promotion party with over 4,000 happy Saddlers there and got to meet 'Sir' Ray Graydon pre-match.

New meadow looks like legoland. Gay meadow was awesome, when it wasn't underwater.

New meadow looks like legoland. Gay meadow was awesome, when it wasn't underwater. I think its the case with most lower league new grounds
